The Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival Photo Exhibit and Fundraiser

Celebrate the 5th anniversary of the Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival at the first ever Brooklyn Hip-Hop Festival Photo Exhibit, a retrospective look at powerful images of Hip-Hop fans, performers, volunteers and festival goers. These photos illustrate the passion, enthusiasm and commitment that the people have in Hip-Hop itself.

As the largest Hip-Hop event located in the five boroughs and tens of thousands of fans have experienced the vibe that the Festival creates. It is a truly grass roots event, that is staffed entirely by volunteers and supported largely by donations.

The exhibit is curated by veteran photographer Frank Franklin II, featuring stunning work by him as well as festival photographers, James Blagden and Robert Mayer.

DJ Qool Marv will be spinning neo-soul, aftobeat, hip-hop and breaks for the afterparty.

This is an 18+ event.

So I was changing today, listening to some music and I thought about a mini summer project. My goal is to shoot as many girls as possible, wearing a tank top, a white tank top you know a wife beater.
This could be posed, indoor, outdoor, random etc. I like the idea a lot and I can't stop thinking about it. I've drawn out many stories in my head, I just need to paint a face on the page.

The turn out could have been better. I hate when people say their going to come to your event and then 42 of them don't show up. Thats FOWL. But all that matters is the most important people were there. I sold a few pieces, the expensive pieces went first, much to my surprise. There are a few left, some are listed on my site in my portfolio. I haven't gotten a chance to put them all up yet.
I had fun on 3/27. The people who cared were there. At 12 midnight everyone got together sang me happy birthday and I got some cake in my face. There was some drama, but it was resolved.
I look forward to doing another show, different location, and I don't know it might be this summer or fall. I'm looking for new inspiration to create a new body of work. Anyone who is interested in modeling, or wants to book a shoot with me please feel free to contact me, I'm very lenient with prices.

A one day exhibition of a young photographers work an an introduction to her photography. Flyers will be given out and posted. Everyone must come with I.D, and to purchase prints you must have cash, there is no debit/credit card machine. Everyone must dress appropriate, clean and presentable. In other words, look fresh to death.. =)

an example
guys- button downs, blazer with a tee under, slacks, no baggy street pants, no hood sneakers, clean canvas shoes such as plain black vans slip ons or loafers, keep it clean look appropriate!
girls- this doesn't mean to come with a prom dress, a simple nice dress, or dressy pants, nice top, nice shoes or flats.

Renesha will be saying good-bye to her teen years and welcoming her adult life and becoming 20 after 12AM!
There will also be a special performance by K.I DubLe and the Oxymoron's.

FINALLY! the flyers are being printed, and now its almost march I'm so excited for the show. I hope its a good turn out and I hope people buy some prints! There is a lot of work, time, effort, and money thats going into this. Aside from all of this photo stuff, I have a job, well people who know me well know where I work. Well i got transferred to a new store in January. I didn't agree with it just because I was in the same store for almost 3 years I got used to it. But, due to recent events I don't miss it, the store is like a high school, there's no professionalism at ALL. Everyone is friends, and if they are friends they don't keep it professional on the floor. All I know is that when I first started the team was great, my second year there the team was great, and in the end of my second year, i don't know what happened but the store lost the feel of what it was when I first started. A lot has changed, and I realized there's only so much a manager could do. He/she hires people but can't control there minds or actions.
I just know that I have learned a lot from my experiences working with this company, it truly has made me a..dare i say..bitch.
but some say i was born a bitch already..so hey u decide..lol

So I've been busy just dealing with life, and the show and all the work I have to do. I'm working on the flyers now, and hopefully they'll be printed soon. I just want to say thanks to Omar, Team Mastadon, and Philip, for helping me out with my show. I want to also thank all the models I have had the pleasure to work with, without you girls I wouldn't have any work.
I haven't loaded any new work because I cant post all of it yet. I have to save some for the show.

I've been alive for two decades. I haven't done anything fullfilling for myself, so I decided to have a photoshow to celebrate being 20. I want to show people my work and style of work. You will be able to purchase collectibles, and prints that night. I will only be accepting cash that night, because I dont own a credit card machine. some flyers will go out by the end of this month or next month, you must RSVP, and its 18 to enter (due to the mature content of my work).
